just threw together the first costume session with a light test I did of the location to see the three actors, the look of the clothes and the environment together - then put that to an urban industrial beat - this way maybe we can all get a little preview vibe of where the project is going stylistically

First Meeting With Costume Designer
I feel lucky to have Nicholas K a great new designer helping out with this project. Have done preliminary fittings with my three actors. I got some video of the fittings, perhaps I will edit and post some videos here later.

spelling my name on the web
here is a side note on my photography site
it was always up with my swedish spelling, but a lot of people would not be able to find it if they looked in google so eventually i simply found two other sites available with the american spelling and a hybrid spelling,
ah the struggles of being a foreigner

Found an amazing location
my buddy crawford has a blacksmith studio in brooklyn, i was going to help him put some stuff on the roof to protect from the hurricane that never came, the minute I walked in there i knew I wanted to film in there, there are amazing sculptures and weird african iron art all over the place, it sparked my imagination towards strange images of ancient black magic
i asked if it was ok to shoot there and was granted permission very kindly
so now i am writing a story inspired by that location, aiming at filming this winter
i am looking to put together something that deals with a master blacksmith with roots in ancient africa, an apprentice from ireland or something that comes and wants to learn from the master, and in between a blacksmiths daughter that is dangerously seductive, there could power struggles of sex, magic and violence
i have talked to three actors that i think could be right for the parts and they all said yes
now it is all about fleshing out this barren synopsis for the actors to have something to work with

Cliffhanger
I wanted to tie this project into the previous movie that i did called "The Funeral" also on this site. A very simple method was to start where the last one left off, in a bunch of bubbles. So before we dive into a more current look of what is going on, here is a kind of backwards looking nostalgic dream again, this time to a different era and a little more rooted in reality.

Treatmental
Just as I sat down to do another edit on this thing, I got a call from an old friend in the fashion industry, he wanted to know what I was doing and we went for coffee.
Out of the simple coffee conversation came out that I was now busy with this thing. He said he knew people that could potentially invest in such a project and before I knew it I was sitting down writing a treatment for the story and everything.
So now this pixelatedAnamorphic project exists as it is - first as a very free and inexpensive way of letting my creativity run wherever it wants, with small personal episodic videos appearing on random computer screens all over, all done out of love and for no money - and then - there are people thinking of this as a larger scale project with funding and casting and the whole bit. I wasn't expecting this kind of scale but decided to see what I could come up with in terms of a good presentation.
Preparing the treatment was done over a couple of days of hard work. I went mental putting images and titles and suggestions for casting as well as a couple of pages of story together to see if there was any interest at all out there, at least for some development funds.
We met again and decided that the treatment would maybe need to be fleshed out a little bit over the next couple of weeks and that soon, it could be an interesting project to take around.
